Bliss Quintet - Open Landscapes
The Bliss Quintet has quickly established itself as a forward-thinking band in the Norwegian jazz scene with its playful interaction and energetic presence. Dramatic, energetic ballads, fanfare-like brass riffs, complex rhythms, and open harmonic landscapes are central themes for the Bliss Quintet. Particularly fascinating about the Bliss Quintet is their unique sound, which is characterized by the use of a quarter-tone trumpet and an acoustic fretless bass.
Following the release of their second album Glasshouse in 2023 on Jazzland Recordings, they have since been actively touring and performing in clubs and at festivals such as Jazzwoche Burghausen, Jazzclub Ferrara, Moldejazz, and Jazzahead.
