KAYD is the musical hub around Hamburg-based artists and producers Kamil (saxophone) and Aydin (keyboards) – a project fusing jazz, funk, and primal groove energy into something new. What started as a shared vision between two musicians has evolved into a dynamic collective uniting established jazz veterans and hungry newcomers from Hamburg‘s international scene.

KAYD creates music that merges the best of different worlds: the complexity and virtuosity of jazz, the raw energy of funk, the irresistible pocket of a locked-in rhythm section. Their compositions blend Middle Eastern, Caucasian, and Tatar influences with contemporary jazz – a sound celebrating their musical roots without being reduced to them.
