Giannouli & Bärtsch

Nik Bärtsch and Tania Giannouli, two pianists described as "ideal musical partners" in contemporary jazz music, met at the Enjoy Jazz Festival in Germany, where they were both artists in residence. While Bärtsch primarily takes on the role of soundscape artist, Giannouli keeps the performance anchored in melody. The two improvisers each bring their own sound to their genre-spanning and dynamic interplay.
