The Offline
The Offline is a modern version of TV and film music from the 1960s and 1970s with an analog feel, reminiscent of old funk and jazz albums that hip-hop artists sampled. Hamburg-based musician Felix Müller produces hip-hop-influenced cinematic pieces under his artist name The Offline and has released three albums inspired by France's coastlines. His debut album La couleur de la mer was released in 2023 and tells the story of the Atlantic coast. Inspired by the dark soundtracks of film composers from the 1960s and 1970s such as François de Roubaix, Brian Bennett, and David Axelrod, The Offline releases atmospheric, soulful, and visual pieces.
The Offline continues his sound research and combines surf, psychedelic, and hip-hop in a library blend on his second album. The Yard Club hosts events on a smaller scale.
