Ghost Funk Orchestra
Ghost Funk Orchestra is the project of composer and multi-instrumentalist Seth Applebaum and has evolved from a one-man recording project into a ten-piece live band. The ensemble is an acoustic kaleidoscope that defies genre classification, but is strongly influenced by soul, psychedelic rock, salsa, and beyond. The unique blend of genres has received praise from NPR, Bandcamp, KUTX, Brooklyn Vegan, and Earmilk.
Ghost Funk Orchestra began in 2014 as a lo-fi recording project of bandleader Seth Applebaum and is part of New York's psych-rock and soul scene. After signing with Colemine Records' Karma Chief imprint, Ghost Funk Orchestra released their debut album "A Song for Paul" in 2019. Since joining Colemine Records in 2018, Ghost Funk has released four critically acclaimed albums, the latest being "A Trip To The Moon" in 2024.
