With "Homage to Yerevan – A Declaration of Love," Kesselhaus invites you on a special musical journey to the Armenian capital. The concert focuses on the music of significant Armenian composers such as Aram Khachaturian, Arno Babajanyan, and Konstantin Orbelian. Their lyrical and melodic works are reinterpreted in a jazz style and reflect the soul of Yerevan. Characteristic of Armenian jazz is the combination of Oriental rhythmics, deeply felt lyricism, and distinctive melody.

Vahagn Hayrapetyan has worked with many prominent jazz musicians and participated in international jazz festivals such as Jazz Jamboree, the St. Petersburg International Jazz Festival, and the Montreal Jazz Festival. He was already a guest at Kesselhaus in 2022 with his trio and now returns with a musical declaration of love to his hometown.
