The album "Confidence" is the fifteenth by sonically brilliant trumpeter and exceptional composer Nils Wülker and his first with a German title. The eleven original compositions deliberately push the leader out of his comfort zone into a beautiful, new sonic world. This is Wülker's first acoustic jazz quartet since his debut "High Spirits" (2002). In just three and a half days at the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin, the musicians created an album that is both contemporary and groundbreaking.
