GoGo Penguin is an English jazz-fusion trio from Manchester, consisting of pianist Chris Illingworth, bassist Nick Blacka, and drummer Jon Scott. The trio's music combines breakbeats, minimalist piano melodies, powerful bass lines, and electronically inspired drums with elements of trip-hop, jazz, rock, and classical music. Their current album "Necessary Fictions" (June 2025) showcases the band with modular synthesizers, Moog Grandmother, and electric bass, while they switch spectacularly between acoustic instruments and electronics.

The trio was founded in 2012 and has released seven studio albums, two EPs, and three live albums through 2026. GoGo Penguin will perform on April 22, 2026 at Werk 2 - Halle A in Leipzig.
