Nils Wülker Quartet - Confidence - Live
Nils Wülker's fifteenth album "Confidence" with the internationally assembled quartet Linda May Han Oh (bass), Greg Hutchison (drums), and Omer Klein (piano) presents itself as a return to acoustic jazz quartet sound. This is Wülker's first acoustic jazz quartet since his debut "High Spirits" (2002). The album "Confidence" – a state in which we experience hope so actively that we trust in the future against all odds – contains eleven original compositions that open up both completion and new horizons.
Nils Wülker is a German jazz musician, composer, and producer who was born in Bonn and studied at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. In 2013, he received the ECHO Jazz as "Instrumentalist of the Year national brass instruments." The band members met for the first time in Berlin's legendary Hansa Studios and had three and a half days to record the entire album. The result is an intimate and heartfelt release with melodic compositions and thoughtful interplay.
