Johanna Summer Trio - International Jazz Day
Johanna Summer focuses her music on the encounter between classical dramaturgy and interpretation with the spontaneity of jazz. The German jazz musician, born in 1995 in Plauen, presents herself with her trio, which was founded in 2016 and is characterized by a clearly structured sound. The trio consists of Tobias Fröhlich (bass) and Jan-Einar Groh (drums).
In 2018, Summer was awarded the "Young Munich Jazz Prize" as the first solo artist. She completed her master's degree in 2023 at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln and is a regular guest at national and international jazz and classical music festivals. Her solo debut "Schumann Kaleidoscope" was released in 2020 on the ACT label.
