Thorbjørn Risager is a Danish musician who moves in the intersection of blues, R&B, rock, jazz, and soul. The guitarist, singer, and songwriter founded the septet Thorbjørn Risager Blue7 in 2002 with musicians from the Copenhagen blues scene. Since the 2014 release of Too Many Roads, the formation—expanded to an octet for recordings—has operated under the name Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado. Scandinavia's premier roots-rock renegades present their album "House of Sticks" with high-energy swamp rock, smoldering ballads, and cinematic blues-rock.

The band has spent the last two decades traversing Europe and touring nearly every corner across more than twenty countries, from Denmark, Sweden, and Finland to Switzerland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Croatia, Greece, Great Britain, and Spain. Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado spend nine to ten months per year on tour.
