Glenn Miller Orchestra directed by Uli Plettendorff
Since 2024, bandleader Uli Plettendorff has led the European Glenn Miller Orchestra, which was previously led by Wil Salden. Plettendorff has been with the orchestra as a trombonist since 1987 – back then as a 21-year-old student in Amsterdam. After more than 40 years and over 5,200 concerts throughout Europe, Wil Salden retired. Plettendorff knows the music, the orchestra, and the audience – and combines tradition with fresh enthusiasm.
In the 2025/2026 season, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is on a major European tour with its new program "Swing Forever," and under the direction of Uli Plettendorff, audiences can expect a rousing concert experience dedicated entirely to dance. With classics like "Chattanooga Choo Choo," "Tuxedo Junction," and of course "In the Mood," the orchestra delivers authentic big band sound and an atmosphere that invites swaying, swinging, and above all dancing.
