Beatrice Asare: Where is the Love?
Beatrice Asare-Lartey is a Hamburg-based singer with Ghanaian and Austrian roots. Her characterful voice, blessed with a lightness reminiscent of folk music, is deployed with an almost instrumental agility and sensitivity. She possesses the ability to immerse herself in the depths of blues, the heights of soul, the cheerfulness of swing, and the expressivity of modern jazz.
In 2010, she began studying jazz vocals at the Hamburg Conservatory and received a one-year scholarship for it in 2012. Currently, she performs with her new projects Beatrice Asare-Lartey & Band and Beatrice Asare-Lartey Trio. The album "Where Is The Love" presents expressive songs with original musical arrangements and an outstanding ensemble: Beatrice Asare (vocals), Mischa Schumann (piano), Daniel Hirth (guitar), Omar Rodriguez (bass), Samuel Wootton (drums).
