Jazzbühne meets Liedermacher presents the jazz trio Martin Preiser (piano), Stefan Engelmann (bass), and Michael Lakatos (percussion) with guest Cynthia Nickschas (vocals, guitar). The charismatic songwriter, singer, and guitarist combines profound lyrics with an energetic performance and a unique style blending singer-songwriter, folk, and a touch of soul. Cynthia Nickschas captivates audiences at renowned festivals such as Burg Herzberg, Bardentreffen, Songs an einem Sommerabend, and Tollwood, as well as through television and radio appearances.

Jazzbühne is a highly successful concert series celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and pursues a conception that is unique in Germany. The rhythm section as core ensemble with Martin Preiser (piano), Stefan Engelmann (bass), and Michael Lakatos (percussion) impresses with renowned and international guest musicians of different genres. The result of these encounters is always an improvisation concert in which the music of the guests spontaneously fuses with the music of the hosts. Each improvisation concert is preceded by only one dress rehearsal, in which the hosts and their guest musicians meet for the first time.
