Dennis van Aarssen - Keep The Great Crooners Alive
Dennis van Aarssen is a Dutch singer who won the 9th season of The Voice of Holland. He is a crooner who specializes in jazz and big band styles, combining swing rhythms with classic standards from the Great American Songbook. His major influences are Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Robbie Williams. The live performances of his tour "Keep The Great Crooners Alive" in the Netherlands were a highlight, with audiences responding warmly to the music and message.
What began as an experiment with short videos on TikTok and Instagram developed into a widely supported mission that ultimately led to a new album and new tour: Keep The Great Crooners Alive. The album "Souvenirs" is the most ambitious crooner album to date by two-time Edison Jazz Award winner Dennis van Aarssen – made bigger, more personal, and with more love than ever before. While his previous album "Just Call It Love" relied on intimate and restrained arrangements, Dennis this time worked with 27 studio musicians and embraced lush, expansive orchestrations.
