Pat Metheny has been one of the most influential guitarists in modern jazz for decades – an exceptional musician who combines technical mastery, inexhaustible curiosity, and powerful expression. On Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 8:00 PM, he presents his Side-Eye III+ project at the Isarphilharmonie in Gasteig HP8 Munich as part of the JazzNights 2026 tour. Side-Eye is a project in which Metheny surrounds himself with younger, innovative musicians to reconsider classical material while exploring new compositions and improvisational ideas.

Pat Metheny has received nearly every award that the jazz world has to offer – including 20 Grammy Awards across various categories, three gold albums, and induction into the DownBeat Hall of Fame. In 2018, he was awarded the title of NEA Jazz Master, the highest honor in American jazz. As a passionate live musician, Metheny has been tirelessly touring for over fifty years, performing well over one hundred concerts per year.
