Pat Metheny – Side-Eye III+ | JazzNights 2026
Pat Metheny is one of the most influential guitarists in modern jazz history – an extraordinary musician who combines technical mastery, inexhaustible curiosity, and powerful expressiveness like few others. The concert at Jahrhunderthalle Frankfurt takes place on Sunday, June 21 at 8 p.m. and is part of his Germany tour in June 2026, during which he performs concerts in Flensburg, Lübeck, Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Dortmund, Freiburg, Nuremberg, and Frankfurt.
Metheny performs with his largest ensemble in over a decade – together with Joe Dyson (drums), Chris Fishman (keyboards), Jermaine Paul (bass), and Leonard Patton (percussion & vocals). The concert is driven by his first ensemble studio album in six years, "Side-Eye III+", and presents expansive new compositions alongside bold new interpretations of favorites and classics from his catalog. The album was released on February 27, 2026 and is the first album on his new label Uniquity Music.
Metheny has received nearly every award in the jazz world – including 20 Grammy Awards across various categories, three gold albums, and induction into the DownBeat Hall of Fame. In 2018, he was awarded the title NEA Jazz Master, the highest honor in American jazz. As a passionate live performer, Metheny has toured tirelessly worldwide over five decades and performs over one hundred concerts per year.
