Jazz at Aalto: Summer Jazz is a beloved tradition in which members of the vocal ensemble or the Essen Philharmonic present themselves musically from a different perspective together with musicians from the independent scene – there is jazzing and jamming to the fullest. The spectrum ranges from Be-Bop, Swing, Free to Modern Jazz, whether instrumental or with vocal interludes, and in keeping with the season, Christmas carols and Gospel songs are also dressed in a swinging style.
