Thorbjorn Risager & The Black Tornado
Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado were founded in 2014 and have developed into Denmark's leading roots rock musicians. The band combines soul, Chicago blues, boogie, and rock 'n' roll with a voice in which Ray Charles, Van Morrison, and Billy Gibbons meet. With over 1400 concerts in 22 different countries, they are among the most active names on the Danish and European live scene.
The band has won two Danish Music Awards (with seven nominations), was recognized as "Best Band" at the European Blues Awards, and won the prestigious German Record Critics' Prize twice. Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado have shared the stage with prominent names such as Bonnie Raitt, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Buddy Guy, and Robben Ford. In 2022, they signed a record deal with Provogue/Mascot Label Group for the album "Navigation Blues".
