Pale Jay - Dabeull Live Band
Dabeull is a funk revival artist and obsessive producer whose core is David Saïd – a musician inspired by booming basslines, vintage synthesizers, fiery analog music, sensual vocals, and string arrangements. With this nostalgic vision, it feels as though the golden age of funk – somewhere between the 1970s and 1980s – never ended. Dabeull performs with a live band of ten musicians and vintage synthesizers, offering a unique space-time experience.
Pale Jay is a trained jazz singer and pianist who wrote, recorded, and produced all songs on his album. His debut "Bewilderment" is a seamless blend of Pale Jay's characteristic dusty soul, slow disco, and afrobeat with string arrangements. Pale Jay's music is influenced by a broad palette of songwriters, including Labi Siffre, Carole King, and William Onyeabor.
The Montreux Jazz Festival celebrates its 60th edition from July 3–18, 2026 in a brand new conference center with the return to the Stravinski Auditorium and the Montreux Jazz Lab. Pale Jay performs in the Montreux Jazz Lab, alongside other artists such as Sienna Spiro, Dermot Kennedy, Gregory Porter, and many more.
