Ute Lemper is a German singer and actress whose career spanning over 40 years has been defined by more than 30 CDs and is universally praised for her interpretations of Berlin cabaret songs and the works of Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht. Her 1986 debut "Ute Lemper Sings Kurt Weill" established her as the primary interpreter of Weimar Germany's cabaret song tradition. She played Sally Bowles in the original production of Cabaret in Paris, for which she won the Molière Award for Best Newcomer in 1987.

The concert "Ute Lemper singt Kurt Weill" takes place on July 26, 2026 in Bad Dürkheim at the Klosterruine Limburg. Built in the Romanesque style, the complex is located on the eastern edge of the Pfälzerwald and is among the largest and most significant monuments of early Salian architecture. From June through the end of August, the Klosterruine hosts various outdoor events including concerts, theater and opera performances.
