Gregory Porter - Lüneburger Kultursommer
Gregory Porter is one of the indispensable figures of contemporary jazz. His stunning voice, equally at home in soul, blues, and gospel, turns every song into a Porter song. The two-time Grammy Award winner from Bakersfield, California, saw his albums Liquid Spirit and Take Me To The Alley showered with gold and platinum certifications. Following his tribute Nat King Cole & Me, Gregory Porter released All Rise in 2020, an album full of original compositions.
On July 30, 2026, Gregory Porter will perform an exclusive open-air concert on the Sülzwiesen. The Lüneburg Culture Summer is one of the established fixtures in the northern German events calendar and has developed into an open-air series that sets new musical highlights every year. The event venue on the Sülzwiesen is located directly at the foot of Kalkberg and just a few minutes' walk from the historic city center, with capacity for up to 4,000 visitors.
