With “Broken Reality,” the young band Finn Heine & Discovery Collective will release their debut album on Jazzline Leopard Records in September 2026. The four musicians are connected by a long-standing, intense musical friendship. As early as 2022, they were awarded first prize in the Future Sound competition and, in recent years, have played at renowned festivals such as the Leverkusener Jazztage, Jazzopen Stuttgart, Jazzbaltica, and were invited to Schloss Bellevue by the Federal President.

Their sound is characterized by unconventional structures, complex rhythms, and colorful sonic worlds. The combination of electronic sound design with acoustic instruments shapes the band’s unmistakable character. In their compositions, the musicians explore the merging of different musical worlds — always with the aim of embedding catchy melodies in a sophisticated context and thus creating unique grooves. Improvisation, interaction, and the creation of unique moments are at the center of their musical work.
