David Helbock Random Control & Fola Dada
David Helbock's Random/Control is an ensemble that has redefined musical exploration, with a rich history of creativity and a remarkable ability to blend a vast array of instruments into a cohesive sound. The trio from Vorarlberg celebrated their 15-year anniversary last year, featuring just three musicians but playing over 20 different instruments.
The band includes: • Andreas Broger (clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophones, flutes) • Johannes Bär (sousaphone, tuba, trombone, trumpet, alphorn, didgeridoo, beatbox, drums) • David Helbock (piano and percussion) Helbock has composed many pieces, setting poems by William Blake, Emily Dickinson, and Erich Fried to music. The addition of Fola Dada's vocals promises to elevate their program, creating a groundbreaking fusion that showcases the power of poetry in music.
Fola Dada is an exceptionally versatile artist, a pioneer in blending musical genres. Originally from Stuttgart, she is a trained jazz singer with a background in tap dance.
