Rodrigo Constanzo and Nicola L. Hein

At the 79th Spring Conference of the Institute for New Music and Music Education (INMM Darmstadt) titled "echt," the organizers are once again hosting an evening concert at the Jazzinstitut Darmstadt. With an experimental set by Portuguese percussionist Rodrigo Constanzo and Lübeck guitarist Nicola L. Hein, two extremely curious sound craftspeople explore the perceptible boundaries of "authenticity" and "truthfulness" in their musical co-production.

Ambiguity and the confusion of identities, political directions, and statements shape our perception. This development causes both uncertainty and tendencies toward one-sided and seemingly simple problem-solving. The question arises of whether and how contemporary music opens up possibilities to reflect on these developments. Like the conference itself, the duo also addresses questions about authenticity, credibility, and verifiability of data and facts in a complex, media-shaped world.
