Sauls fand Will Jacobs 2023 seine neue musikalische Heimat, die unter dem Namen „Will Jacobs & The Unit“ den Soul-, Blues- und Funk-Sound der 60er Jahre mit Elementen aus Neo-Soul und modernem R&B neu interpretiert. Die dadurch geschlagene Brücke zwischen den Generationen begeistert seit jeher das Publikum vieler renommierter Jazz-Clubs und Festivals in ganz Europa. Will Jacobs verbrachte seine Jugend damit, in den Blues Clubs Chicagos von den wahren Größen des Genres zu lernen und entwickelte so einen Sound, der heutzutage nur noch selten aufzufinden ist. Durch diesen authentischen, energievollen Sound gewann er den Jugendpreis bei der Windy City Blues Challenge in Chicago und bekam kurz darauf die Chance, beim internationalen Blues Showcase in Memphis, Tennessee aufzutreten. Diese Erfolge führten ihn direkt ans renommierte Berklee College of Music, wo er sich weiteren Genres widmete. Nach mehreren Tourneen mit dem berühmten Zydeco Künstler, C.J. Chenier, einer erfolgreichen Karriere in der Blues Szene Chicagos und einem längeren musikalischen Aufenthalt in Sri Lanka wagte er 2016 den Sprung nach Europa, um von Berlin aus als Solokünstler durchzustarten.  Daraufhin folgte eine Orientierungsphase in der deutschen Blues-Landschaft, zahlreichen Konzerten, unterschiedlichen Besetzungen (Blues Caravan, Marcos Coll Band, David Haynes & Friends) und der Veröffentlichung eines ersten Solo-Albums „Goldfish Blues“ bei Ruf Records. Charlotte Colace: Die in Berlin lebende Soul-Künstlerin **Charlotte Colace** verbindet ihre französisch-kubanischen Wurzeln mit einem Sound, der Vintage-Soul-Nostalgie und moderne Grooves vereint. Ihre ausdrucksstarke Bühnenpräsenz machte sie schnell zu einer festen Größe der Berliner Liveszene, ausgezeichnet mit dem **Listen to Berlin Artist Award 2025**, noch bevor sie überhaupt Musik auf Streaming-Plattformen veröffentlicht hatte. Under the name „Will Jacobs & The Unit“ they offer a  fresh perspective on the soul, blues, and funk sounds of the 60s by merging them with elements of neo-soul and modern R&B. They manage to seamlessly bridge the gap between generations and have consistently delighted the audiences of many renowned jazz clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Will Jacobs spent his youth immersing himself in Chicago’s blues clubs, learning from the true greats of the genre. This foundation cultivated a rare, profound sound, which allowed him to attract local and international attention with his first band, performing at the International Blues Showcase in Memphis, Tennessee after having won Chicago’s Windy City Blues Challenge (Youth Division). These successes propelled him to the esteemed Berklee College of Music, where his focus broadened to embrace more contemporary genres. After a few successful years of gigging, composing and session work in Chicago, a musical residency in Sri Lanka, as well as touring with renowned Zydeco artist C.J. Chenier, Will embarked on his solo career, relocating to Berlin, Germany in 2016.
