Hellmut Hattler is an exceptional figure in the German music scene: As a bassist and songwriter, he has distinguished himself over decades with a distinctive musical language – initially with projects like KRAAN and TAB TWO, and for many years with his favorite project HATTLER. The band combines cool club sounds, psychedelic pop, and nu-jazz into powerful live versions that are both forceful and smooth and mellow. With intelligent melodies, solid rhythmics, and perfect live video projections, HATTLER creates a distinctive, danceable entertainment that regularly appears at international festivals and lifestyle compilations. This year the band is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a tour and the best-of album "Happy Birthday Baby," which contains not only the band's most successful tracks but also previously unreleased live recordings.
