Jazz Connects: Field
Jazz conveys music rich in information, colors, and emotions – it frees the breath and opens the chest as much as the mind. FIELD possesses all the necessary ingredients: energy, humor, and a deep awareness of the constant flow of creativity. According to their self-understanding, they resemble that mythological figure of the trickster from many ancient indigenous traditions – a figure that questions rules and conventions in order to turn supposedly immutable certainties on their head. FIELD understands itself as a vehicle for the relocation of inner and outer boundaries. To this end, they draw from the rich pastures of music and everything that makes jazz what it is, equipped only with their instruments as tools.

Jonas Westergaard (bass)
