Sharon Mansur Trio - Greatest Possible Diversity
The Sharon Mansur Trio unites the expressive spectrum of jazz, the energy and directness of rock and electronic music, and the color richness of Middle Eastern music. The trio consists of pianist and keyboardist Sharon Mansur, bassist David Michaeli (known from the Shalosh Trio) and drummer Aviv Cohen (Yemen Blues).
The music ranges from cinematic, spherical passages through rocky energy bursts to characteristic keyboard playing with Middle Eastern-influenced melodic lines that leave behind the Western limitation to semitones. The Middle Eastern, uneven rhythm runs through all the music – there is not a single piece in 4/4 time.
Sharon Mansur is classically trained at the Jerusalem Music Academy, matured in jazz, at home in pop, and regularly performs as a DJ. In 2025, Sharon released her debut trio album "Trigger" on the German label ACT.
