Lorenzo Petrocca, born in 1964 in Crotone, southern Italy, came to Germany in 1979 as an emigrant with his family. He discovered jazz in 1989 and today performs with his Lorenzo Petrocca Organ Trio and Quartet throughout Germany, Italy, and many European countries. Petrocca is a sought-after sideman, including as a member of the Max De Aloe Quartet. Max De Aloe is considered one of the most active jazz harmonicists on the European scene. Kindred Spirits is a jazz formation led by trumpeter and flugelhorn virtuoso Peter Protschka, featuring musicians inspired by bebop and postbop.
