The Famous Jazz Jam Session is a regular event at the Jazzkeller, where new and experienced musicians improvise together. A jam session is a relatively informal musical event in which musicians play improvised solos and variations over melodies, chord progressions, and songs. The format developed in the 1920s, when Black and white musicians sought opportunities to share their music despite the political climate of the time.
