WE'LL RISE

Pianist and singer Anke Helfrich presents her current program, which gives visibility to inspiring women and forgotten pioneers. Her style combines American jazz tradition with European influences, blues with sonic sensuality and virtuosity with narrative power. One of her compositions was included in the book "New Standards: by Women Composers" published by Terri Lyne Carrington in 2022.

Over the years, the trio has developed its own sound based on musical equality, freedom, and trust. Bassist Dietmar Fuhr has performed with countless jazz musicians at home and abroad and teaches at several universities. Drummer Jens Düppe is a sought-after figure in the scene, an active bandleader and curator of creative projects. Together they shape the many aspects of Helfrich's compositions into an organic unity.
