A concert from the Swing Georg series: Cologne trumpeter Thimo Niesterok celebrates the music of the swing era in changing, top-tier lineups. Visiting is the award-winning Munich guitarist Elias Prinz, who has found his musical language in Jazz Manouche and opens this tradition to modern influences – from American straight-ahead jazz to classical elements.

Elias Prinz combines the sound world of Django Reinhardt with contemporary impulses. He proves himself a master of clear, compelling melodies that go straight to the heart. Thimo Niesterok (*1996) is one of the outstanding voices of the young German jazz scene. His warm, nuanced tone and his distinctive phrasing give his musical language a special depth that captivates both experienced jazz fans and new listeners.
