Randi Tytingvåg Trio – a unique small chamber orchestra!

The Randi Tytingvåg Trio looks back on a long career with numerous tours in Norway and Germany. In March 2026, the band will present their new album LENGT (Longing). With uplifting lyrics and a soundscape featuring elements of folk, jazz, and the singer-songwriter tradition, the trio consistently delivers quality.

In October 2025, the three musicians settled into a farmhouse surrounded by magnificent nature in the Norwegian town of Sandnes. In this quiet, picturesque setting, they were able to work undisturbed and intensively on the new album. From vocal harmonies, guitars, banjo, bouzouki, mandola, and other string instruments, a refreshingly invigorating acoustic music style emerged. The music of LENGT was composed by Randi Tytingvåg, with lyrics created in close collaboration with poet and author Helge Torvund.

Now the three are looking forward to hitting the road again and performing these songs live! The trio performs with a single microphone, quite old-fashioned and from the heart. No backline or monitors are needed.
