Alexander Rueß Trio - "Debut" - Double Moon Record Release - Feat: Luca Curcio-Sebastian Merk
Breathing grooves meet intimate melodies: With DEBUT, guitarist and composer Alexander Rueß presents his first album as bandleader. The trio weaves a sonic landscape of melodic directness and Nordic intimacy – personal, clear, and open to discovery.
The music of the Alexander Rueß Trio tells stories in lyrical melodies and driving grooves. Occasional excursions into folk and prog-rock influences are subtly woven in, not foregrounded, but as part of a vibrant, European jazz language. Rueß, who grew up in East Holstein and has been active between Berlin and Copenhagen for the past ten years, brings melodic directness and his own distinctive sonic signature. On the album, Nils Landgren can be heard as a guest. In recent years, Rueß has performed with renowned artists, including the quartet of GRAMMY-winning artist Nicole Zuraitis, Jocelyn B. Smith, and Atrin Madani.
Lineup:
Alexander Rueß (guitar, composition)
Luca Curcio (double bass)
