LORENZ & FRIENDS

The Cool Jazz Styles Quartet brings together four distinguished musicians from the Hamburg scene: Lorenz Hargassner (saxophone), Anja Mohr (piano), Giorgi Kiknadze (double bass) and Ole Seimetz (drums).

The program centers on the band's original compositions, some of which will be heard live for the first time at this event. The pieces move between melodic modern jazz, lyrical ballads and swinging grooves – music that draws equally on jazz tradition while developing its own sonic space.

In the second set, the program opens more fully to jazz tradition: classics from the repertoire of jazz's Golden Age are reinterpreted and developed further through vibrant improvisations. In this atmosphere, musical encounters with special guests may also take place.

The quartet stands for a jazz culture in which composition, improvisation and musical exchange come together – music that draws equally from tradition and emerges in the moment.
