Saxophonist and composer Tobias Meinhart, based in Brooklyn, is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary jazz. With his current project Light & Shadow, he presents a quartet of extraordinary musical presence that combines the energy of the New York scene with European sound aesthetics, narrative depth, and a pronounced sense of groove.

Pianist Eden Ladin, bassist Joe Martin, and drummer Mark Whitfield Jr. belong to the top tier of international jazz and have worked with artists such as Brad Mehldau, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Kenny Garrett, and Terence Blanchard. Together they create an open, dynamic music that allows space for lyrical moments as well as powerful improvisation. Clear melodies meet complex rhythmic structures, intimate timbres meet urban energy. The quartet unfolds live a dense, breathing sound language – modern, flexible, and in direct contact with the audience.
