Trío Sin Tiempo
Trío Sin Tiempo is among the most powerful projects in contemporary Argentine jazz. The ensemble brings together three outstanding musicians whose spontaneous improvisation and musical dialogue at the highest level reveal an extraordinary ability to communicate. Rather than following fixed structures, their music adheres to an open concept between avant-garde jazz, abstract folk elements, and a passion for sonic experimentation.
Leo Genovese on piano is a Grammy Award winner and based in New York; he has worked with Wayne Shorter and Esperanza Spalding, among others. Mariano Otero on double bass is considered a key figure in Argentine jazz and rock and stands out for his versatility as a composer and producer. Sergio Verdinelli on drums is a longtime collaborator of Argentine icon Luis Alberto Spinetta and navigates effortlessly between the subtlety of jazz and the energy of rock.
With their debut album Sin Tiempo, released in 2021 and recorded in a single studio session, they capture the essence of their approach: compositions as a starting point for spontaneous interplay and creative exchange in the moment. Although Leo Genovese lives abroad, the trio regularly comes together to perform in renowned clubs in Buenos Aires as well as at international festivals.
