The YOUNG JAZZ TALENT AWARD is entering its fifth round. On May 16, 2026, four exceptional tenor saxophonists will compete against each other – two of them study at HfMT Köln, two at Folkwang Hochschule der Künste in Essen. A five-member jury and the audience will decide together who becomes the Jazz Talent of the Year 2026 on tenor saxophone. All nominees are distinguished by exceptional technical skills, high motivation, and deep musical passion – the decision will be difficult once again.
