Jörg Brinkmann Trio feat. Nguyên Lé
Jörg Brinkmann (*1976) is a crossover cellist who has expanded the possibilities of the cello in his own way and developed a distinctive, personal sound. He is equally at home in classical music, jazz, and improvised music, and uses electronics in a tasteful and subtle manner. Cellist Jörg Brinkmann's trio has been making music together for 18 years and brings his original compositions and arrangements from the Renaissance era together in a fascinating way in his current program "Labyrinth."
Nguyên Lê is a French jazz musician and composer of Vietnamese origin, whose primary instrument is the guitar. The Paris-born son of Vietnamese immigrants is an outstanding guitarist and composer who has made a name for himself with his innovative fusion of jazz and traditional Vietnamese music. Among the great guitarists of our time, Nguyên Lê stands out as one of the most exciting and individualistic personalities, with a unique style in which Southeast Asian melodies, complex jazz harmonies, and highly virtuosic excursions into rock exist naturally side by side.
